Meatsack Magazine Issue 0: Labour of Love

The magazine aims to explore vulnerability and how we navigate around complicated conversations and feelings that we face. The first theme was particularly chosen to encourage both creative contributors and readers to reach inside of themselves and really explore how they felt about the topic and the experiences that are associated with it. The name in itself was inspired by the nickname my boyfriend gave his cat micek, the croatian word for ‘kitty cat’, which sounds a lot like ‘meatsack’ if you pronounced it slowly. After all, were the human experience devoid of hardship, and with it resilience, we are nothing but a body with no stories to tell; a literal sack of meat.
